IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

• If you would like to book a room you can simply Book Online or Contact Us Direct at reservations@blacksheepbackpackers.co.nz or 03 442 7289 or +64274427289. (Cheaper Rates by booking Direct)
• New Years bookings under the 48 hours cancellation terms will be pre charged prior to arrival, if card declines booking will not be valid. Refund will be given if booking cancelled outside 48 hours unless non-refundable rate booked.
•Please note that room numbers are not guaranteed and can be changed as required by the property.
•For bookings made directly with us – either online through our website or through a phone booking, no initial deposit or payment is required unless over $500, weekly rate, discounted special or group bookings. We do ask for your credit card details as part of confirming your booking, your credit card will be authorized to check valid and available funds to confirm reservation.

COVID 19 TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Updated 1st December 2021
• The government vaccine mandate policy is recognized at Black Sheep Backpackers to keep our staff/guests safe and well.
• Guests will be required to show their My Vaccine Pass and valid ID to reception.
• Late arrivals (after 9pm) please contact reception to verify your Vaccine Pass and ID before arrival.
• Children under the age of 12 years and 3 months are not required to show proof of vaccination status under the traffic light system.
• Masks are recommended and encouraged.
• Only guests can access the property, visitors are not permitted.
• As per the government protection framework (Traffic lights) record keeping/scanning required is required at all levels.

CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW

• If the guest doesn’t show up on the first night of their booking, they will be charged the total price and the booking will be cancelled the next day and it is non-refundable.
• 48 hours cancellation policy applies to regular bookings.
• Group bookings are non-refundable and no cancellation.
• Bookings over $500 are non-refundable and no cancellation.
• We do not provide refunds for weather events, travel delays or road closures. We recommend that you take out travel insurance for your vacation.

GROUP BOOKINGS

This applies for when booking for 6 people or more for the same time period of stay. For group bookings please confirm this with reception direct. These booking should be made direct and full payment required by the time of the booking. Please note any group booking not made direct can be cancelled at the discretion of the property and any bookings which are made separate that are deemed to be together will be charged or cancelled before or whilst here at the full discretion of The Black Sheep Backpackers.

For a group of 6 people or more we will require the following:
• $50 CASH deposit per person on arrival and needs to be paid as security deposit for the whole group (example.6 Adults x $50 = $300), refundable after the room is checked (straight after check-out).
• Full payment is required at the time of making the reservation and it’s non-refundable, and are non refundable, no cancellation and non transferable under any circumstance from this stage
• One credit card per room as a security for hostel damages.

CAMPERVANS

• Vans should not be more than 2.8 meters long. We do not take Maui and Self Contained vans so please check first before confirming the booking especially on the phone.
• We do not have camping site only van site so putting up a tent is not possible.
• Tables and hanging of clothes on the fences and within the hostel is not possible, need to use the clothes aired or the dryer.
• Dispose the rubbish properly and do not litter on the parking spaces.

BOOKING WITH OTHER WEBSITES

• If you choose to use other booking websites, you may be required to pay an initial deposit at the time of making your booking and this is based on their terms and conditions not The Black Sheep's.

ONLY FOR NEW YEAR’S PERIOD

• 5 night minimum required
• All arrivals on 28/12 require a 5 night minimum stay (check out 02/01)
• All arrivals on the 29/12 or 30/12 require a 5 night minimum stay
• New year’s booking will be charged in full at the time of making the reservation, at this stage it is non refundable, under any circumstance.
• We allow no one under the age of 18 for New Years 28/12 - 03/01
• I.D must be provided at check in. We accept a passport, drivers license or HANZ 18+ card ONLY.
• There will be a liquor ban in place and liquor cannot be consumed on the premises.
• Maximum 6 guests per group/booking, any bookings which are made separate that are deemed to be together and are more than 6 people will be cancelled before or whilst here at the full discretion of The Black Sheep Backpackers. We require address, contact telephone number & email address of each guest to book.

**Black Sheep Backpackers recognizes the Queenstown Lakes District Council Liquor Ban on Special Holidays and Events**

On all other days the Black Sheep's alcohol Policy applies, which is no drinking after 8:30pm.

**There will be some changes on the Operation Hours in lieu of special Holidays, please contact the property in 48 hrs in advance at minimum especially for Late Arrivals.**

Payment Policy

• Our guests are asked to pay their amount in full on arrival at their time of check in.
• Cash, Eftpos and credit card
• Payments made by credit card and international card have a 3.5% surcharge.
• We request $20 for a key deposit on arrival. Fully refundable on check out.
• We also have available bath towels in case you do not have yours. Minimal Deposit is required.
• New Year’s bookings will be charged in full to card on file at the time of making the reservation, at this stage it is non refundable, under any circumstance.
• All bookings with a value over $500 will be pre charged and are non refundable under any circumstance.
• Group bookings and Weekly rates are charged upfront, non refundable, no cancellation, non transferable under any circumstance

Cancellation Policy

We appreciate early notification of any cancellations made.

Our Cancellation Policy | For Bookings Made Directly with Us.

• Standard Cancellations (for bookings under $500): 48 hours’ notice is required by our office prior to the date of arrival to avoid the cancellation fee. All cancellations must be received by 3pm of each day, otherwise it will be deemed to be received, and the notification period will commence from, 8am the following morning. (Our office hours are 8am – 9pm each day).
• Bookings over $500 will be pre charged, and are non refundable, no cancellation and non transferable under any circumstance.
• Weekly rate and winter weekly rate deals are non refundable, no cancellation and non transferable under any circumstance before or after check in and will be pre charged for the duration of your stay.
• Hot Deal rates are non refundable under any circumstance before or after check in.
• New years bookings are non refundable, non cancellation, non transferable once booked.

Cancellation Fee

• The cancellation fee is 48 hours, if you cancel inside of this you will be charged the total price and will be charged directly to the credit card details provided at the time of making the booking.
• We do not provide refunds for weather events, travel delays or road closures. We recommend that you take out travel insurance for your vacation.

Group Bookings Cancellation Policy

• When booking for 6 persons or more for the same time period of stay these are non-refundable for the whole length of stay.

For bookings made via Other Booking Websites

• If you booked via another booking website you will need to cancel with them directly and adhere to their terms and conditions. **New Year's booking is non refundable no cancellation even you book it with 3rd party Booking Website**
