Opened in 2002, Ararat Southern Cross Motor Inn offers spacious accommodation that is centrally located and within easy walking distance to local restaurants and shopping precinct. The Visitor Information Centre and Train and Bus Terminal are situated conveniently close by.
Ararat Southern Cross Motor Inn is an environmentally friendly motel, built with energy saving in mind right from the planning stages. Much research was undertaken to locate and secure suitable materials for good insulation and sound proofing properties. Each unit has its own Instantaneous Gas Hot Water System which reduces unnecessary gas and water wastage, as well as quiet Split System Air Conditioners. All lighting used is low voltage LED globes. All units have a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, crockery and cutlery.
Founded on gold in 1857, ARARAT has much to offer with its naturally picturesque setting in the hills surrounding the City. Or take a stroll around town and enjoy the grand architecture of several early buildings built in ARARAT'S heyday.
On a larger scale, ARARAT is ideally situated as a base, to explore the wonder and grandeur of the Grampians and to experience the many award winning Wineries of the district. Take a day trip to the spectacular Coastal areas or travel inland to explore quaint old Goldfield Towns.

Please note that Ararat Southern Cross Motor Inn operates on a 24 hour Cancellation Policy and No Show Policy on all rooms and rates.
Failure to notify Motel Management of your non-arrival by 2 pm the day before your expected arrival date, will incur the full cost of the room.
For all special event dates eg Easter Christmas and Long weekends we require 50% deposit at the time of booking and 14 days notice for a cancellation. Failure to notify Motel Management of your non arrival will incur the full cost of the room.
