Bilyara House
Built in 1947, Bilyara House was the home of one of the Wallent Sons. The Wallents were well known identities about the town.
F.C.G. Wallent & Sons was a fine Tanunda Haberdashery Store (now "Living by Design") with the adjoining Wallant Family Home now housing 1918 Restaurant. Maurice Wallent was the Tanunda Mayor for a time.
Bilyara House offers a perfectly central location to explore the region, located just off the main street of Tanunda. It is designed to accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably with 3 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. Breakfast provisions supplied for cooked breakfast on first night.
Our décor is modern and comfortable with tasteful reflections of the house’s 1940s and 50’s romance and Art Deco Style.
There is close walking access to 4 fine dining experiences, family friendly pubs, the Tanunda Club, as well as no less than 12 coffee shops.
The Butcher, Baker & Supermarket are also within short walking distance, allowing you to make your own home cooked fine dining experience as our accommodation offers fully equipped modern kitchen facilities with inside and outside dining areas comfortably seating 8 people.

Terms & Conditions
- Check in time is 2.30pm on day of arrival unless otherwise agreed
- Check out time is 10.30am on day of departure unless otherwise agreed
- Total number of occupants must not exceed the quoted number unless agreed

The Guest is responsible for their own travel/health insurance. Neither the Owner or Manager shall be held responsible in any way for accidental injury, death or damage/loss to personal effects of the Guest. If, due to circumstances beyond the Owner's control, such as flood, fire, hurricane or other damage, the Owner is unable to honour this agreement. Any advanced payments shall be fully refunded provided said damage was not the fault of the Guest. The Guest is responsible for all damages excluding wear and tear, and including those which exceed the effective damage deposit amount.
Payment whether Partial or in Full, acknowledges acceptance of the 1) Terms and conditions, 2) Payment Policy and 3) Cancellation Policy.
Payment Policy
Price includes 10% GST
The cost of the 1st nights stay total is required at time of booking. Any remaining amounts (100%) will be deducted using the same payment method 7 days prior to arrival.
Also, as an alternative to upfront Damage Deposit, we keep credit card details on file for 7 days after your stay and reserve the right to deduct up to $350 should the property be left in an unreasonable condition. If damages are severe, further action may be sought.
Cancellation Policy
- You can cancel for a 100% refund of the FULL amount up until 7 days prior to arrival (less an admin fee of $30) after which 100% of the FULL amount will be retained in the event of cancelation.
- Any Booking Fee by a booking site is non-refundable.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you're charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- If there is a complaint, notice must be given to us within 24 hours of check-in.
For a 100% refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made 7 full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 2:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of 1 week prior before check in time.
If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.
