John and Lesley are lucky enough to live at Blythcliffe, it is their private home and they love welcoming guests to share its special history and place in Akaroa. They’re very well-travelled around NZ and can offer some handy local travel knowledge should you need it. Built in 1857, Blythcliffe sits within its own private grounds and is listed as an Historic Place Category 1 with Heritage New Zealand, Pouhere Taonga.

• Blythcliffe management wishes to keep all guests and our own family as safe as possible from COVID 19 infection. We have therefore decided to implement the NZ Government guidelines that apply to the use of the NZ COVID passport system. Guests are required to provide a copy of their NZ Vaccine passport to confirm booking and to present it at check in. The guest name must be the same name as on the passport.
Cancellation
• The guest can cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 7 days before arrival.
• No prepayment is needed at time of booking.
Payment
• We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Euro/Mastercard, Internet banking
• A 3% surcharge will be applied to all payments made with a credit or debit card.
• All bookings must be accompanied by a valid credit card number for the time of your stay .
• We will charge the full amount of your accommodation to your credit card, including the 3% surcharge seven days prior to your arrival. This is strictly non-refundable.
