Payment Policy

Reservations are not considered confirmed until a deposit has been paid and a valid credit card is recorded against the booking for the duration of the stay.
The Sails Motel reserves the right to cancel any reservations where credit cards are invalid, declined or deposits have not been paid in accordance with terms and conditions.

Please see below to determine applicable deposit window for your booking.
Deposits are required for each room listed on the booking.
Balance of payment is collected in full on check in.

General
A first nights deposit is collected 48 hours prior to arrival.

Long Stays (4+ Nights)
50% of total payment is collected 7 days prior to arrival.

School Holidays
A first nights deposit is collected 72 hours prior to arrival.

December 24th – January 3rd
A first nights deposit is collected 7 days prior to arrival.
(Festival terms apply to Falls Festival bookings)

Festivals
Applies to Bluesfest, Splendour & Falls Festival
50% Deposit is collected 1 month prior to arrival.

Groups 3+ Rooms
The Sails Motel does not allow group bookings. A group is considered a reservation of 3 or more rooms. Management reserves the right to cancel any group booking made online without prior approval. Approved bookings require 50% of the booking total collected 7 days prior to arrival (unless a single night booking, the total amount is collected 7 days prior). For larger bookings 10% deposit is required at the time of booking with 50% deposit is collected 1 month prior. One month cancellation policy applies.

Credit cards
Accepted credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, AMEX.
A 2% surcharge applies to AMEX.

Changes to the Service
The Sails Motel reserves the right to change or modify the booking, products, rates, services, and terms described at any time without notice and without liability.

Identification
A current drivers licence or passport must be presented upon check-in.

Covid 19
All guests agree to comply with the latest COVID-19 Travel and Health advice including vaccination requirements issued by the NSW Government.

It is a requirement that all bookings include an address and phone number.
All guests and visitors must observe NSW public health orders and check in through the QR code on arrival. A vaccination certificate is required to enjoy the motel facilities.

Rates
Rates are subject to change.

Check in/out
Check in time is from 2pm
Check out time is 10am
Early check-ins/late check outs are subject to availability & must be arranged prior to arrival. Fees apply.

No smoking
The Sails Motel is a smoke free property in accordance with NSW legislation.
No smoking is allowed on the premises - $100 penalty applies to smoke affected rooms

No Party Policy
The Sails Motel has a strict no party policy. Disruptive noise, excessive drinking or large gatherings will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to vacate/evict any guest or group displaying anti-social behaviour with no refunds considered.

Maximum Occupancy
In accordance with law and fire safety regulations, only the maximum designated number of occupants per room is permitted. Sleeping on the floor is strictly prohibited and additional people will be asked to leave.

Refusal of Entry
Management reserves the right to refuse entry based on prior behaviour or eviction from other accommodation providers.

Age Policy
Only guests 18 or over are permitted to reserve accommodation. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Sails Motel does not accept Schoolies bookings and proof of age will be requested on check- in.

Location Hire/ Commercial photography
No commercial photography or filming is permitted without Management approval.
The Sails Motel is open for location hire at request. All enquiries must be submitted in advance to management and terms negotiated prior to arrival.

Pets
Pets are not permitted on the property. Additional cleaning charges will be applied if disregarded.

Lost Property
The Sails Motel assumes no responsibility for lost property. Items found after departure will be held for one week and then donated to charity. Guests are to contact reception discuss item pick up or postal return at the expense of guest. A minimum fee of $20 will be charged to return items.

Additional charges
Additional charges will be applied to the credit card on file for the following; breakages, damage to the property, missing items, late departure, lost keys and extra cleaning.
Lost key fee is $125.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, Modifications & No Shows
Cancellations & modifications are permitted outside applicable deposit windows.
Any cancellations or modifications made inside deposit windows result in forfeit of deposit and additional costs may be incurred up to 100% of accommodation value. Applies also to no shows.
