Payment Policy
***FOR DATES OF EXCEPTIONAL DEMAND, SUCH AS MAJOR STADIUM EVENTS, PAYMENT IN FULL IN ADVANCE IS NECESSARY. Payment should be made immediately to the following bank account:
RHX Ltd t/a Chalet Backpackers Dunedin: 02-0912-0333211-00. A booking confirmation will be sent on receipt of these funds. All charges and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Credit card transactions incur an additional 2.5% fee.
GROUP BOOKINGS (5 guests+): Group bookings should be prepaid by direct deposit to the bank account number as above. “Courteous behaviour bonds” may be required for group booking, submitted in cash upon check-in. All charges and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
ALL OTHER BOOKINGS: the reservation’s first night may be charged in advance to the credit card details supplied, by reception on the date of arrival. Debit cards (rather than credit cards) may be used to secure a booking but may be charged immediately for the first night.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
All charges are non-refundable and non-transferable, so please be certain of travel plans before booking.
Cancellations or alterations to a booking may be made without charge if made outside of 24 hours of the arrival date (Cancelling the day before is too short notice).
The cancellation fee is the equivalent of the first night's stay. In a situation where the booking was made with a minimum multiple night stay (e.g: 2 nights minimum), the cancellation fee is equivalent to the minimum stay.
In the case of prepayments made for special events and group bookings, the cancellation fee is the equivalent of the amount paid.
