There is a bitumen road all the way to Cape Tribulation where the Rainforest meets the Reef so a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary.

What to do?

It is not difficult to spend a day relaxing at Daintree Rainforest Retreat, but a short drive from us there is plenty to do and see.

We like to start with a visit to the informative Daintree Discovery Centre to gain valuable insight into what makes the Daintree Rainforest such a Special place on our planet!
The discovery centre offers our guests 10% discount on their multi pass admission fee which means you get to learn how it feels to be a part of this magical Rainforest.

There are lots of close beaches where crowds are never a problem. Watch the sun rise over Cow Bay beach, enjoy the free self guided board walks in the National Parks, swim in local swimming holes and discover.

For foodies; you may wish to visit the plantation that produces the locally grown and processed tea or you can visit the exotic fruit farm where we can almost guarantee that you will taste fruits which you have never tasted before! Locally produced ice creams offer exciting tastes and many cafes and restaurants to enjoy varieties of meals and menu options

For adventure and touring there is a list of options including crocodile cruises, bird watching, tours to the Great Barrier Reef, Jungle surfing, jungle walks and guided night walks or jump on a 4x4 tour north up the famous coastal road to Bloomfield Falls and beyond to Cooktown.
