Huntington Stables Retreat offers luxury, mid-range and budget accommodation in a beautiful semi-rural setting. We're located 5 minutes drive from the centre of Cambridge and its excellent selection of boutiques, cafes, restaurants, galleries, antique shops and sports facitilities. With a large swimming pool, hot tub, steam sauna, petanque/boules court, outdoor yoga areas, giftshop and gorgeous views, this Bed and Breakfast makes an ideal choice for an overnight stay, long weekend, or relaxing holiday. Our rooms and amenities provide a comfortable and practical 'home base' for families and adventurers exploring the Waikato and beyond, as a romantic setting for a honeymoon or wedding night, or to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. It also provides a wonderful option for a girl's weekend, bridal party event, or special 'retreat'. An easy 30 minute drive to Hobbiton Movie Set, makes this a convenient 'stop-over' for those attending day tours and evening banquets, or those visiting Lake Karapiro, Mystery Creek, Avantidrome or St Peter's School. BEFORE BOOKING and to avoid misunderstanding: 1. please check the details of each room to ensure you book the room that best suits your needs. 2. Children are welcome in the North or South Stable only. 3. Infants are welcome in the Loft (this does not include toddlers). 4. All amenities are for BOOKED GUESTS only. 5. For security and privacy reasons you MUST let us know of intended VISITORS, and ensure they know there is no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, and no pets can be brought down the drive. 6. A valid credit card must be produced upon arrival and all damages, loss, and mini-bar items must be paid for. 7. NO SMOKING/VAPING anywhere on the property. If cigarette/cigar smoke is detected during your stay, a commercial cleaning fee will be extracted from the credit card supplied, or sought through an appropriate agency.

Guests have full use of the pool complex which is situated a few metres away. In-room shopping is available with original artwork by NZ artist Santie Cronje, garden art pottery by Jo Beckett, lavender toiletries, & souvenirs for sale. Room rate includes provisions for continental breakfast. This studio has sloped ceilings in part, is up a set of stairs & has a balcony. Infants to 6 months old (non-walking) are welcome when using a cot (fee for infant). Full payment for any room will be extracted within the cancellation period. All facilities are for BOOKED GUESTS ONLY, & we must be notified of intended VISITORS. NO SMOKING/VAPING ALLOWED in or near any of the rooms. If cigarette/cigar smoke is detected during your stay, a commercial cleaning/relocation fee will be extracted from the credit card supplied, or sought through an appropriate agency.

This basic guestroom sleeps up to 2 people sharing the Queen bed, & is attached to the main house with its own entrance. There is no access to the main house. It has a small but private ensuite bathroom, small fridge, tea & coffee making facilities. Complimentary provisions for light continental breakfast (no toast) are included. Toast can be prepared for you for an extra charge). As a basic guestroom there is no kitchenette, living area or dining room. There is a small table & 2 chairs on the covered patio outside the room. This guestroom is ideal for booking with the North or South Stable, or The Loft, when needing a room for older teenagers, grandparents or extra guests. There are NO COOKING facilities in this room, however there is a small fridge with juice, milk, water & yoghurt. Wine, softdrinks & beer is available for purchase. The Stall is intended for those simply needing a bed & shower for the evening. We absolutely CANNOT accommodate children, babies, extra guests or pets in this room. In-room shopping (gifts & souvenirs) is available. BOOKED GUESTS have use of the pool, spa & sauna (some restrictions may apply). NO SMOKING/VAPING in or near any of the rooms. Please understand that by choosing to stay at Huntington Stables Retreat, you agree to respect our regulations and policies.
1. Our facilities are for BOOKED GUESTS ONLY (some exceptions for 'Return Guests'). 2. The sauna is for ADULTS ONLY. 3. We respectfully request children behave accordingly and are mindful of other guests, animals and property at all times. Full supervision is required in the pool/spa area. Do not allow children to jump on beds or furniture, remove contents from cupboards or draws, or use pens/ink near bedding, linen or walls. 4. No glass in or around the pool, spa or sauna (please use the polycarbonate cups from your room). 5. Our 'no smoking/vaping' policy applies to entire property (some exceptions for 'Return Guests'). 6. Any damage, breakage or loss associated with your stay must be paid for. 7. For security and privacy reasons please let us know if you are expecting visitors! It is crucial that you inform us of visitors, that they park down the bottom of the drive, do not smoke or vape anywhere on the property, and do not bring dogs past the entrance. 8. DRIVE SLOWLY on the property at all times! 9. In accordance with our 'Environmental Responsibility' Policy, we DO NOT change linen daily. We encourage you to re-use your linen and to conserve water and power. We have excellent filtered water (you do not need to bring plasic bottled water). 10. In most cases we are NOT able to offer early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is 2pm onwards and check-out is no later than 10am.

NORTH STABLE or SOUTH STABLE: cancellation within 8 days, 100% of total booking price withheld.
THE LOFT: cancellation within 8 days, 100% of total booking price withheld.
THE STALL: cancellation within 5 days, 100% of total booking price withheld.
No Shows for any room - 100% of total booking price will be charged/withheld.
During public holidays or major events in the area (e.g. Field Days), cancellation within 14 days for all rooms, 100% of total booking price withheld.
If booking 3 or more rooms at one time, cancellation within 14 days, 100% for total booking price withheld or charged.
We are a small operator so cancellations affect us significantly. Our Cancellation Policy is rigidly applied.
