Terms & Conditions

Thank you for booking with us. If we do not have all your details proir to check-in then we will ask for these at check in. Please provide for each adult guest their full name, current address, email, mobile phone, vehicle registration number and credit/debit card. Please review our Terms and Conditions/Policies below.

Check-in: from 2pm onwards. If you require an early check-in please discuss with Staff when making booking.

Check-out: at 10am.Please note that once the balance of your booking is paid, no refunds will be given should you decide to cut your stay short during your time with us for any reason. If you require a late check-out please discuss with Staff when checking-in.

Covid-19: All guests must adhere to social distancing rules as per the current public health directive. On check-in potential Guests must complete and sign the a declaration in relation to the COVID-19 virus travel restrictions (if currently required). Some of our Guest staying at Kookaburra Holiday Park are most of risk of being seriously affected by the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19). We want to ensure we are doing our best to minimize the transmission of the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guest Parking
One (1) parking space per site/cabin/unit/villa booking is factored into your accommodation charge. Extra vehicles can be parked outside if we do not have spare parking onsite. If you require additional parking inside the Kookaburra Holiday Park for vehicles, boats, trailers, or vans, discuss with Staff when booking. Availability will depend on number of bookings and will be at the discretion of the manager. There may be an additional fee or you may have to book an additional site during busy times especially long weekends and special event weekends in Cardwell.

Bunk Bed Policy
Please be advised that under Workplace Health & Safety obligations we must comply with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4220:2010 - Bunk Beds and Other Elevated Beds. Children under the age of 9 years are not permitted to use the top bunk. Children must also not play on the top bunk. Please take this into consideration when making a booking.

Camping Area Policy
Our camping areas are available to holiday makers and international travellers on a short term basis only (maximum 7 nights) unless prior written approval has been received from the Kookaburra Holiday Park. All occupants must supply valid government issued photo identification and must have a supervising adult over the age of 18 years present at all times. Kookaburra Holiday Park reserves the right to prohibit entry to persons who do not meet these conditions.

Pet Policy
The Kookaburra Holiday Park is a pet friendly park. However, it is at the discretion of management and by prior arrangement that a pet stay may be permitted. If management have agreed to you having your pet with you it is your responsibility to follow the rules regarding pets at the Kookaburra Holiday Park.

Visitor Policy
We are very passionate about ensuring our guests have exclusive use of our Parks facilities. With this in mind, day visitors are only allowed if they are visiting a guest staying within the Park. Please inform your visitors that they will need to 'sign in' at the office prior to entering the Park.

Zero Tolerance Policy
We have a zero-tolerance policy to illegal substances, violence, abusive behaviour, excess noise and illegal activity. If you are involved in these you will be ask to leave immediately without any refund.

Payment Policy

To fully confirm your reservation with Kookaburra Holiday Park (Cardwell Queensland) we require credit card details to secure your booking at the time your online reservation is made (exception is Christmas and New Year Holidays*)

This means that by booking online, in person or by telephone via our fully secured booking page, you authorize Kookaburra Holiday Park to deduct the full amount of your booked accommodation from your nominated valid credit card. The full amount for your stay will be deducted from your card upon arrival.

The following methods can be used to make a payment:
• Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa) - over the telephone or via email with credit card details
• Bank deposits - acceptable when paid at least 10 business days before arrival.
• Cash on arrival.

Upon arrival the balance of any account (if applicable) needs to be settled and the Kookaburra Holiday Park will also take a copy of your valid government issued photo identification. When the account balance is paid by credit card, the name on the card must match the details on your identification.

You must produce photo ID at check-in, and the Kookaburra Holiday Park will record and retain a copy of this ID to protect against fraudulent bookings.

*Bookings over Easter, Christmas and New Year holidays require a 30% deposit on booking and balance paid 30 days prior to arrival date. No refund if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Alteration Policy.

If more than 7 days’ notice is given for a reservation cancellation, guests will be refunded their deposit. Any cancellations within 7 days of arrival for the property will result in a cancellation fee of $40. Full payment of your accommodation will be required if notice of less than 48 hours is given (exception is Easter, Christmas and New Year Holidays*)

At least 7 days’ notice must be given for booking or date alterations. All changes are subject to availability.

In the case of a "NO SHOW"- NO REFUNDS are available.

*Bookings over Easter, Christmas and New Year holidays require a 30% deposit on booking and balance paid 30 days prior to arrival date. No refund if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date.
