Terms & Conditions

YHA hostels are open for all travellers, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political persuasion and physical or mental impairment. However, all guests staying in YHA properties are expected to behave in a manner that does not prevent other guests from enjoying their stay. The expected behaviour by guests is classified into the criteria below and these comprise the YHA Guest Code of Conduct. You confirm that you will comply to the Guest Code of Conduct throughout your stay. Breaches of the code of conduct may result in cancellation of booking and/or removal from the premises.

Arrivals - Rooms are available from 2pm for arrivals. All guests are required to provide photo ID when checking in. Check out is at 10am - please bring your sheets, pillowcases and keys to reception to redeem your key deposit. Length of stay may be limited to 14 days, but can be extended at the hostel manager's discretion. Managers also have the right to ask guests to leave if there are any problems with behaviour or noise. Please be considerate of other guests during your stay. Bedding - Guests must use provided sheets or linen when staying. Blankets and pillows are provided but you will need to bring your own towels. Sleeping bags are prohibited due to Australian health regulations. Cooking - Manta Lodge has a fully-equipped kitchen where you can cook and store food during your stay. All guests are welcome to use the kitchen facilities, provided that they clean up after cooking and consider the needs of other guests. Age - We welcome travellers of all ages although children under 18 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21. Children under the age of 18 years are required to stay with their parents/legal guardians in the private rooms, with children under the age of 2 staying for free. Fire Evacuation Procedures are located on the back of your room door. Persons responsible for a false fire alarm will be charged $410.
Manta Lodge YHA will not be liable to any guest, or invitee of a guest, for any loss, damage or destruction to any personal properties bought on to these premises. This includes all personal effects and / or motor vehicles parked on or adjacent to the premises.

Payment Policy

Bookings will be confirmed in real-time and your credit card debited for the full cost of the booking. Any extra charges, (eg key deposit) are payable upon arrival at the hostel.
Please note that for multi-share bookings made less than 72 hours before arrival for more than 1 person we will try to place everyone into the same room - but this cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a booking, please contact reception on 07 3409 8888 or email info@mantalodge.com.au with your booking reference number.

- More than 48 hours notice - In order to receive a refund, notice must be received by 11.55am local time, 48 hours prior to arrival. Your booking will be refunded, minus a $3.00 cancellation fee.

- Less than 48 hours notice - A cancellation fee equivalent to one nights' stay per person is applicable. Please allow at least seven days for processing a refund.

- No shows - If you do not cancel and do not check in on the first day of your booking a cancellation fee equivalent to one nights' stay per person is applicable. If your booking is for more than one night, Manta Lodge YHA & Scuba Centre reserves the right to cancel the remainder of your booking and resell the bed/room.

If you have booked a special deal, package or booked a stay during a peak period or with a minimum nights' stay, please check the specific terms and conditions of the individual product. Some of these may be non-refundable.

Please allow at least seven days for processing a refund.
