Mary’s Farm Cottages

The Nenke family warmly welcome you to their unique 'eco village' farm accommodation. Enjoy luxurious king size beds or king twins, large flat screen TVs, beautifully appointed bathrooms, uninterrupted farm views and watch the sun go down from your own verandah. Chose accommodation to suit your needs & budget from two bedroom cottages (sleeping up to six); one bedroom apartments (sleeping up to four) or simply a double room. The apartments and cottages boast kitchen living room areas with all you need to make your holiday, short break or over night stay comfortable including dishwashers, microwaves & electric ovens, washing machines, driers and a large fridge/freezer. Double rooms have a small bar fridge & tea & coffee making facilities. All cottages back onto a large lawned area shaded by natural trees. A feature of the area is the covered barbecue area where you will find the barbecue under the bonnet of an ancient 'Austin Truck' with the 'tray' providing a great picnic table. Children can enjoy romping on the grass as well as play equipment. Enjoy a walk on the farm, visit nearby bush to see kangaroos at sunset and in season enjoy the local wildflowers from August through to December.
This is a working farm, growing wheat, barley, lupins, peas and our very popular 'Cambinata' yabbies. Tractor rides, bee tours and farm tours are available at an added cost.

The Nenke family first took up the home property in 1912 and moved onto the land in 1914. Today it is home of third, fourth and fifth generation family members. The farmland where Mary's Farm Cottages are located was purchased in 1973 in the name of Mary, Michael’s new bride.!
Being mindful of the importance of looking after the environment for future generations the village is eco friendly. You will note the largest independent solar system in the region that provides energy, the collection of rainwater and the use of the grey water to subterraneously water the lawn!
While you are here come and visit the family's 'state of the art' yabby (fresh water crayfish) establishment. Cambinata Yabbies is the largest and most sophisticated yabby processing facility in Australia. Here you can enjoy a tour and have the opportunity to purchase delicious gourmet products that you can enjoy and take home as gifts. Pre ordered steamed yabby meals are also available either at Cambinata or delivered to your cottages.
