Moolooloo Station is a rugged and beautiful working sheep station located in the northern Flinders Ranges. It is a perfect location to holiday to enjoy this ancient and breathtaking landscape. Moolooloo Station also has important historical significance as it was the base camp for the famous explorer McDouall Stuart who was the first white explorer to cross Australia from South to North which established the foundation for the overland telegraph and also the settlement of the Northern Territory.

Moolooloo has had many owners between 1853 and the present day. Most recently the Warren family from the Yorke Peninsula took over in 2021 from the Slade's who took care of this incredible place for four generations.

Willigon Green Campsite Standard Rate Book

Willigon Green is a large non-powered camp site with a bush toilet and fire pit. The location is remote and exclusive with only one group being able to book the site at any time. The nightly rate includes one vehicle and additional vehicles attract an extra fee (not extra people). The location is beautiful and private.
Dogs welcome but must be controlled at all times.
Firearms and motorbikes strictly NOT permitted.

Witchies camp site is a private small camp site located on Witchie's Creek. Suitable for smaller groups for a relaxing and secluded base from which to explore the stunning property and beyond. The site has a bush toilet and is unpowered. The nightly rate covers one vehicle and additional nightly fees apply for additional vehicles (not additional people).
Dogs are welcome but must be controlled at all times. Firearms and motorbikes are not permitted.

Third Water Campsite Standard Rate Book

Third Water Campsite is located on the banks of the spectacular Orutunga Creek. It is a large camping area with a bush toilet and also a shower room to allow private showering. BYO shower bag.
The nightly rate allows for one vehicle and additional nightly fees apply per vehicle (not per person).
Please do not camp under a tree as branches can fall.
4WD vehicles required to access this camp site.
All of our camp sites are booked to only one group at a time.
Dogs welcome but must be controlled at all times.
Firearms and motorbikes strictly NOT permitted.

Blinman Hut Standard Rate Book

=Blinman Hut is a secluded camping hut set on a creek bed, surrounded by hills in the native pines. The hut consists of a kitchen and dining area as well as a bathroom with flushing toilet and shower. There is room for a few people to sleep inside on swags or camp beds.
No beds or bedding provided.
It is situated only 1hr, 4WD from the homestead. Perfectly located for a remote getaway. The hut is popular with walking groups wishing to use the Hut for bathroom, kitchen and storage facilities
Exclusive access to guests offers a unique and quaintly serene experience
The Hut is wired for 240v lighting, with the option of hiring a generator or b.y.o
An outdoor BBQ and bonfire are available for the total camping atmosphere
An outdoor toilet is also provided
The Hut’s amenities consist of a wood stove, sink, dining table, small amount of cutlery and crockery, indoor toilet and shower
Dogs welcome but must be controlled at all times. No firearms or motorbikes permitted.

All bedding and towels. Blinman Hut is small and can sleep couples (no beds/bedding supplied). Larger groups will need to bring tents, swags, etc. for outdoor camping

Shearer's Quarters Standard Rate Book

The Shearer's Quarter's are situated on the edge of the picturesque Moolooloo Creek which is lined with magnificent Red Gums

Modern family bathroom, toilets and showers
Rooms are basic but equipped with comfortable beds
The fully equipped kitchen has a large wood stove, gas stove, microwave and 3 large fridges
The dining room adjoining the kitchen is capable of seating large groups
There is a large undercover slated area and BBQ, ideal for outdoor entertaining
A large wood fire box and complimentary wood pile will help to keep you warm on those cold starry nights
Shearer’s Quarters power is supplied by a 240v generator Rates include up to 12 hours of generator power per day. If power is required overnight an additional cost of $50 per day will apply. Please arrange with operators.
Dogs are welcome but must be controlled at all times. We can accommodate horses also. Please contact owners to arrange.
Firearms and motorbikes are strictly not permitted.

Terms & Conditions

Payment of the deposit constitutes the acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

In the event of a cancellation by the client, the deposit is non-refundable. If bookings have been paid in full prior to stay the following applies: Bookings cancelled prior to 14 days before the check-in will entitle you to a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days will incur a 100% cancellation fee. All cancellation fees will be held in credit for 12 months for use on mutually agreed alternative dates subject to availability.

The operators will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However, the operators reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To secure your holiday booking a 30% deposit is required and the balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days from check-in date.

Keys for Blinman Hut are available to collect at the Homestead. Upon departure all keys are to be returned to the Homestead.

No rubbish, bottles or cans are to be left at Blinman Hut. Blinman Hut is to be left as you find it. This includes sweeping/mopping floors, clean bathroom/toilets, dishes done & put away, ashes taken down to the creek and wood left for 1 night for next guests.

Shearer’s Quarters are to be left in a satisfactory clean and tidy state, including all rubbish bagged and emptied into outside bin, washing up done, floors swept, wood stove in kitchen emptied of ash. In the event of excessive cleaning requirements an extra cleaning fee will be charged. Bottles and cans can be put in collection room.

Shearer’s Quarters are run on a 240 v generator. Accommodation rates include usage of the generator for up to 12 hours per day. Diesel is expensive and a finite resource. Generator should be turned off at night. If for some reason the generator is required overnight an additional fee is charged ($50 per day). Please arrange with the operators.

Pets are not allowed inside under any circumstances at the Shearer’s Quarters. We are happy, providing you have made prior arrangements with us, for you to bring your dog or horse. Dogs must be controlled at all times as this is a working sheep station. NB. At times there is aerial baiting for wild dogs around the perimeters of the property (this is nowhere near any of the accommodation options).

There is an evaporative air conditioner provided for our shearers to use during summer months, it is hooked up to rain water and is not to be used unless temperatures become unseasonably hot and it has been set up with the operators as damage can be done to the unit if not set up properly. Please do NOT turn it on without permission. Damage to the unit will be at your cost if turned on without permission.

Smoking is not permitted inside the Shearer’s Quarters or Blinman Hut. Smoking pots are provided outside for smokers convenience, we would appreciate if you would use them.

Any damage, breakage or loss of furniture, furnishings, equipment, locks or keys is to be reported immediately and paid for at cost (other than acceptable wear and tear). Please note that our cleaners do a detailed inventory check both before and after your stay..

The number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the booking. Additional fees will be charged for extra people at the Shearer’s Quarters and Blinman Hut.

The operators take no responsibility for the guest’s personal property left on the premises.

Check-out time is 10:00am. Check-in time is 2:00pm. The guests must vacate the property by the check-out time unless agreed with the operators in advance that they may stay longer. Without prior agreement, additional late departure fees will apply at the nightly rate.

The person making the booking must be 18 years or over and agree to take full responsibility for the temporary rental of the property.
Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms or properties. The BBQ must remain on the dirt next to slate area (Shearer’s Quarters). BBQ must not be put onto slate

Payment Policy

To secure your holiday booking a deposit of 30% is required. When booking online a payment portal is provided. If booking directly with the owners a credit card number must be provided. Payment of the balance must also be made no later than 14 days out from check-in date.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of a cancellation a full refund will be provided if the cancellation is made more than 14 days out from the check-in date. If the cancellation is made less than 14 days out from check-in date no refund will be provided but the funds will be held in credit for 12 months to allow rescheduling of the holiday.
