Property Information
Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay
Margaret River Hideaway & Farm-stay is a 23.3 hectare (57.57 acre), located 5kms north-east of Margaret River township.
The 2 Studios (which are under 1 roof) and 7 cottages are spaced out to ensure privacy. All have fenced enclosures to accommodate dogs (rules apply). The Studios (4A and 4B)
and Cottages 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 are classified by us as “Superior,” whilst Cottages 1 / 2 / 3 are “Standard.” The living rooms of all units are air-conditioned, fully furnished and inclusive of a flat screen TV and a DVD player.
All cottages have “pot belly” wood stoves for those chilly winter days and nights, whilst reverse-cycle air-conditioning is considered adequate for the Studios.
Our accommodation is fully self-contained. That is, they have full kitchens and all the items that you would expect in a home, thereby enabling you to self-cater. We provide a “starter breakfast” which consists of a small packet (per person) of Cornflakes or Just Right, milk, orange juice and bread; as well as sachets of coffee, tea, jam, Vegemite, salt, pepper and a few farm-fresh eggs (if the “chooks” are laying). This should cover your needs on the first morning, beyond which you’re expected to attend to your own food requirements.
WHAT CAN WE DO ON THE PROPERTY
Guests normally stroll, enjoying the ambience, or relax in and outside their accommodation. BBQs are set up on verandahs, so it’s easy enough to enjoy the Aussie outdoor lifestyle.
Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8.30 am, we host a 1 hour animal feeding tour of the farm (subject to weather conditions) and guests are encouraged to participate. Currently we have emus, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese, sheep and alpaca; and several cattle (including a couple of very strange looking long-haired Scottish Highland, cattle. The children will be encouraged to interact with the farm's animals.
We're within easy driving distance of all major features of the region and it's an easy 5 minute drive to Margaret River town, where you will find numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. There are 3 large supermarkets (open from 8am to 8pm) supplying everything you might need during your stay; and restaurants open late.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Although limited, Wi-Fi should be adequate for e-mails, web browsing and moderate streaming. Bear in mind, please, that we're located in a rural setting.

Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Check-in is from 3:00pm and guests must vacate their tidied accommodation no later than 10:00am.
All items of cutlery, crockery, glassware and / or cookware should be properly washed, dried and placed away in cupboards. In the event that this is not done (or where the cottage is left in an untidy state) the company reserves the right to charge a minimum of $50.00 to cover extra cleaning costs. Guests should report any damage or loss and should be prepared to accept charges for repairs or replacement.
No extra persons are permitted to stay on the property without the prior approval of the manager.
Well behaved dogs are permitted to stay in the enclosures provided (but never inside the cottages) and must be on a lead as and when outside. They must never be in attendance at animal feeding and should be taken by owners if they intend leaving the property for periods of more than 2 hours. If under 2 hours. dogs may be left in the enclosure, but NEVER inside the cottage. Failure to observe these rules will be viewed very seriously and guests will be charged a minimum $100.00 for extra cleaning costs. In essence, guests must be respectful of our accommodation.
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the cottages or around the property. Guests are permitted to smoke on cottage verandahs, but cigarettes must be butted out in the containers provided.
Payment Policy
LOW & MID SEASONS: A non-refundable deposit equal to 1 night for bookings up to 7 nights (and a further 1 night for each subsequent 7 nights) will be taken at time of booking; and with the balance charged to approved credit cards on the morning of arrival.
PEAK: A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total cost will be taken at time of booking; and with the balance charged to approved credit cards on the morning of arrival.
Cancellation Policy
A refund will only be considered if and when the accommodation can be re-let (in full).
