Property Information
Red Mill House in Daintree
Red Mill House, in Daintree Village, is a traditional B&B with a strong focus on nature and the wildlife of the Daintree. It is world renown as accommodation for wildlife photographers and birdwatchers visiting the Daintree.
There are four modern, spacious, ensuite rooms with wide verandahs overlooking the extensive tropical gardens and a two bedroom family unit in the original house. A communal lounge and dining area and swimming pool are available to guests. A fabulous full breakfast including home-made yoghurt and breads is included. Family owned and operated, Holly and Jordan are keen birdwatchers and have good knowledge of local and regional birds and birding locations. An excellent reference library and binoculars for loan, plus local maps and up-to-date sightings and tour advice combine to help guests make the most of their time in the Daintree area.

Delicious full breakfast included. No cooking facilities however portable cookers and self catering facilities are available in the main house.

Located downstairs in the original historic home, this smaller air conditioned Queen ensuite room over looks the beautiful tropical gardens and bird bath & feeder. Its smaller size is complimented by a private verandah with outdoor lounge, table, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The ensuite is tucked away by a permanent partitioned wall. This open breezy room features french doors opening onto your private deck.

Standard check-in time is 2pm to 6pm. If you find it necessary to arrive outside these hours, please let us know in advance. Late Check-in surcharge of $25 may apply.

We are happy to offer free WiFi with minor restrictions due to our limited Telstra Mobile Broadband data allowance. We ask for guest's understanding in this regard.

Payment in full on check-out. For package booking full payment is required 7 days prior to check in.

Cancellation Policy
PLEASE NOTE: COVID cancellation policy is now considered flexible with FREE cancellation up to 48hours prior to check in. In the event of COVID related illness a full refund will be provided with a medical certificate.
Effective 2021
A fee of 50% of the booking applies for cancellations between 7- 30 days prior to due arrival date
A 100% fee applies if cancelled within 7 days prior to due arrival date
Full fees will be charged to the credit card account in instances of a 'no show'
Cancellations must be in writing.
Cancellations due to weather, flooding/cyclones and public road access will be subject to above cancellations policy.
