Just 10 minutes from the centre of Margaret River and 5 minutes from the spectacular Redgate Beach, Leeuwin Estate, Voyager Estate and Xanadu wineries, Redgate Forest Retreat offers a 167 hectare sanctuary (including 50 hectares of native forest) of peace and tranquility. Accommodation options range from cozy chalets through to the renovated homestead with enough space for extended families. Our Wongin and Kanana chalets are also wheelchair friendly.

Maya means House/Home. The Maya Homestead is the original farmhouse, with a modern makeover. Maya accommodates up to 10 people and has two dwellings: a main house and an annexe, about 5m apart, joined by an verandah.

Kanana means West, and our western-most house offers beautiful views across the front paddock and main dam. Kanana is wheelchair-friendly accommodation offering:

Terms & Conditions
A minimum 2 night booking is required.
Arrival time is after 3pm on the date of arrival and departure time is by 11am on the date of departure unless alternative arrangements have been made with the Owner.
The Property is not a “party house” and any such activities are strictly prohibited.
Guests must not create noise which is offensive to neighbours especially between 10pm- 8am.
Damage and breakages must be reported to the Manager and could result in additional charges.
Guests are responsible for their dog’s actions while on the property.
Guests are responsible for their own safety when on the property including, but not limited to, use of the facilities, injury arising from natural elements (e.g. falling tree branches), electric shock (e.g. from cattle fences), injury from animals (wild or domestic).
Any swimming, activity or use of equipment on the dams is prohibited and the undertaking of such will be at the Guest’s own risk.
Weapons and firearms are prohibited.
The use of motorcycles, quad bikes or other non-road-registered vehicles is prohibited.
Tents and caravans are not permitted on the property.
Drones are only permitted by written agreement with the Owner.
Vehicle travel is restricted to road-registered vehicles on the defined gravel roads only.
Additional costs will be charged for broken items or fixtures and when excessive cleaning is required.
Pet owners must clean up after their pets before leaving the property.
You are responsible for maintaining the property in a clean and tidy state.
Payment Policy
To secure your booking, full payment is required.
A bond of $500 could be required.
If the booking is for a large event (e.g. wedding, etc.), all the accommodation dwellings must be booked at full occupancy rates for a minimum of 2 nights and an additional fee of $500 plus a bond of $1500 is required. Rates for days beyond the minimum 2 days will be at the normal rate (standard or peak as required, dependent upon occupancy).
Cancellation Policy
A fee of $100 will be retained on all cancelled bookings. The balance will be treated as follows:
- If cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival a refund will only apply if we are able to refill your booking.
- If cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival we regret no refund is possible.
- If you choose to shorten your stay during this period or after arrival you are liable for the full payment of your stay.
