Sherwoode is situated in the designated Ayers Hill Rd Historic Conservation Zone of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. Set amongst stately homes and English style gardens, many of which were established as summer residences of the Adelaide gentry in the late 1800's.
The property itself is studded with century old Oaks, Elms and Californian Redwood trees offering shade, and creating it's own micro climate.
Although less than 20 minutes from the CBD, it is also less than an hours drive to the famous winery regions of the Barossa Valley, the River Murray, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, as well as the scenic beaches of the South Coast and Victor Harbor. Historic Hahndorf is 10 minutes away.
For those more interested in a local experience, short walks from the front gate along Oak and Elm tree lined streets are an enchanting experience, and the lovely Stirling Village with it's coffee shops and cafes is a short stroll away. The breathtaking view from Mt Lofty Summit is a five minute drive away.
In keeping with its surroundings, Sherwoode offers luxury private accommodation. It caters for a maximum of 2 guests with a quarter acre sized secluded landscaped garden, including barbecue and fire pit, for the exclusive use of occupants. The attention to detail is evident with the addition of a vehicle turntable to enable convenient exit to the street with no reversing.
