Terms & Conditions

General

Terms & Conditions below are for bookings made directly via the SURFARIS RETREAT’ website and payments via payment gateway system through SURFARIS RETREAT. These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time and are subject to change at our complete discretion without further notice to you.

ARRIVAL & STAYING
You confirm that you will comply to the Guest Code of Conduct throughout your stay.

Arrival & Departure
For arrivals after 4:00 pm please contact reception prior to your arrival to arrange after hours key collection. Check in time is from 2:00 pm and check out time is before 11:00 am.

Late Check-Out
Late checkouts are available upon request. Please contact Reception to check availability. An additional late check-out $10 to $20 fee will be applied.
We reserve the right to charge up to a $200 fee for excess cleaning. This includes additional cleaning, dry cleaning and carpet cleaning.

Child Policy
1 Infant sleep for free on existing bedding or with guest private cot, on top of the maximum allowed guests per motel room. Infants are not permitted in shared accommodations.
Children between 2 and 5 will be given a discounted rate in the shared accommodation only.
For the purposes of this clause:
“Child” or “Children” means a person or persons aged between 2 years and 17 years;
“Infant” means a person under the age of 2 years;
and “Adult” means a person aged 18 years or over. All ages will be determined from the date at which accommodation commenced. Children and Infants may not stay in any room without an Adult.

No Pet and Noise Policy
For the comfort and consideration for all our guests we operate a “No Pets” (To the exception of registered Assistance Dogs) and “No Noise after 10pm " to ensure our guests have a pleasant and uninterrupted stay. Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation at their discretion, we also reserve the right to have guests removed from the premises without refund.

Visitors, Alcohol & Non-Smoking policy
Visitors are not permitted to the property after 9:00 pm.
The property is a licenced venue, alcohol can be purchased through the bar/reception. BYO allowed.
Smoking is forbidden in all the buildings present on the property.

Internet Access
SURFARIS RETREAT offers Wi-Fi internet access (free or as a paid service). SURFARIS RETREAT cannot be held responsible for non-availability of the Internet network, inability of accessing the Website, external intrusion, computer viruses, or non-authorized online transactions using our Wi-Fi access.
Foreign Currency
Conversion into foreign currency is given as an indication and is not binding. Only the currency confirmed during your reservation is confirmed.

Relocation
In the event of a situation whereby the Property cannot provide accommodation as previously confirmed for whatever reason, the Property will undertake to relocate guests to an alternate accommodation type with no additional cost to the guest. Should the guest not wish to accept the relocation, a full refund & booking cancellation may be granted.

Privacy Policy
Security of your personal information
Any personal information that we collect about customers including email addresses will be kept in our database. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold is protected against misuse, disclosure and unauthorized access, including restricting access of personal information only to employees who require it in order to fulfill our obligations to you.
We will not disclose any personal information to third parties outside our company, without your written authority (except to the individual to whom the personal information relates) unless we are required by law or it is otherwise necessary.

Payment Policy

PAYMENTS

Guarantee Policy
A valid Credit Card is required at time of booking, but the payment will only be processed at the time of check in.

Pay On Arrival Policy
A valid Credit Card is required at time of booking however the full payment isn't required until check-in. Changes and cancellations are permitted up until 3pm hotel local time within 48 hours prior to arrival, with fees in high season. Changes or cancellations within this time will be charged in full in high season. No shows will also be charged in full.
Fees
All credit / debit card payments made to Surfaris Retreat via an onsite payment system will incur a 1.5% non-refundable credit card service fee in Australia (VISA, MASTERCARD), 2.5% (AMEX) non-refundable credit card service fee.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATIONS

Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival time will incur a cancellation fee equal to the first night’s accommodation charge. Please note during special event periods additional cancellation fee’s may be enforced. Please speak with the reservations staff to clarify the conditions of your booking.

IMPORTANT: Cancellation Terms and Conditions vary according to the rate purchased.

- Standard Rate {Low Season} (Refundable* Rate)
Your booking will be refunded in full if you cancel more than 48 hours prior to arrival.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice (3:00 pm day prior to arrival) a cancellation fee equivalent to one nights' stay per person will be charged. No show, not refunded.

- Peak Season (partially refundable)
Your booking will be refunded in full if the cancellation is made 7 days prior to arrival. For cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is equivalent to one nights’ stay per person.
Within 48 hours prior to arrival, changes and cancellations or no-show will not be refunded.

- Saver (Non Refundable Rate)
Your booking will not be refunded if you cancel or change the booking, or don't check-in.

- Specials and Packages
Are a 'Non Refundable Rate' unless otherwise stated on the information sheet on the hostel page.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Specific terms & conditions may apply for bookings booked during a peak period, with a minimum nights' stay, during Christmas, New Year's Eve period and Easter.
