Nestled below the misty summit of Mount Moehau on New Zealand's remote bush clad Coromandel Peninsula, lies pristine Tangiaro Valley. Situated amongst beautiful native New Zealand bush in Port Charles - 1 hour drive North of Coromandel Town - with the Tangiaro stream flowing through it, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is a special place - take a deep breath, relax & unwind!
A few minutes' drive away from nice beaches, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is THE place to go to if all you wish to hear is the sound of birds, the breeze through the trees and the beat of your own heart.
Our stylish, unique, fully equipped Chalets blend beautifully in the natural surroundings and make you feel as if you are a part of the bush. Fully appointed and designed with comfort in mind, your chalet will help you relax during your visit.
Café / Restaurant & Bar – The Tangiaro Café/Restaurant & Bar has a wonderful selection of food and drinks.
Our opening hours are:
10am to Required - Wednesday Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. We do stay open for Dinner with Reservations only.
PLEASE NOTE - If we do not have any reservation’s for Dinner we close at 5pm

If you wish to self - cater please ensure to bring enough supplies as we do not keep supplies on-site. The closest general store is 20min drive away in Colville and the closest larger grocery store is in Coromandel Town or Thames.
If your arrival time is after 5pm please let us know in order to arrange for key pick up
Strictly no animals of any description are to be brought to site.
Tangiaro has a fully functional helicopter landing pad that also serves as an emergency helicopter pad.

Each Cabin has two single bed, fully made up and tea and coffee are supplied, electric jug, heater, one fan and towels supplied and bathroom is 15 meters across the drive. No fridge .$60 per bed.

• Check in: From 2pm (If you arrive after 5pm please arrange for key pick up)
• Check out: Before 10am
• If any Accommodation is left in an unacceptable condition, there will be a minimum cleaning fee of $200 per unit
• If booking multiple Chalets, the person signing this agreement takes full responsibility
• Strictly NO animals on Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat as we have a significant amount of wild kiwi birds and other native birds on the property.
• Please respect other guests on the property, note there is a noise restriction from 10pm
• While driving on the property please be aware of children and keep speeds below 20 kms
