The Australian Hotel is a superb example of Edwardian/Federation style architecture located above the Australian Heritage Hotel.
Built in 1913 its licence has been in continual use since the early 1800's. We offer a friendly, charming atmosphere and are proud to be part of the Rocks Village, the birthplace of our city of Sydney. In 1788, the First Fleet pitched their tents on the rocky outcrop along the cove's western shore giving the area its name. Our hotels charming accommodation has been a favourite amongst Sydney Siders as well as tourists visiting The Rocks, with it’s close proximity to the heart of Sydney, Bed and Breakfast On The Rocks is an ideal choice for your accommodation.

Terms & Conditions
Please read terms and conditions before booking. Upon booking, you are deemed to have agreed to the below terms and conditions.
• Check in time is from 2pm to 10pm. Early check-ins may be possible however the Hotel will not know until the morning of your booking. You are more than welcome to leave bags at no extra cost at the Hotel at any time (both before and after your booking) to explore the city.
• Check out time is strictly by 10am. Failure to check out by 10am may result in another night’s stay being charged.
• Guests must provide a driver’s license/passport, mobile phone contact number and email address at the time of check-in. A valid credit card is required upon check-in to cover any incidentals or damage.
• Smoking is prohibited on all levels & in all rooms – a fee of from $250 will be added to the room charge to cover lost revenue and additional cleaning. In the event whereby smoking in a guest room sets off a false fire alarm a fee of $1,100 will apply.
• Room conditions: No excessive noise of traffic to and from room. No exceeding number of Guests allowed per room. Drunken or Disorderly behaviour is prohibited. Linen & Towels will be counted and damages or theft may result in charges to your credit card.
• Cleaning charge: In the event that there is excessive cleaning required a minimum cleaning charge of $100 will be levied to the room charge.
• Child Policy: Children under 2 free of charge in existing bedding.
Payment Policy
• Best Available Rates: a refundable deposit of 50% of the full stay is required at time of booking. If you depart early, the below cancellation policy applies to any nights you wish to cancel.
• Non-refundable Rates: a non-refundable deposit of the full amount of the stay is required at time of booking. This includes Book Today & Save, Stay 2 & Save and Stay 3 & Save.
We accept MasterCard and Visa. No credit card surcharge applies.
Cancellation Policy
• Best Available Rates: Free cancellation up to 1 week before check-in. Booking cancellations made at least 1 week prior to the check in date and time will not incur any fees or charges and will be eligible for a full refund. Booking cancellations made within 1 week prior to the check in date and time will incur a charge of 50% of the full stay. Booking cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the check in date and time will incur a charge of 100% of the full stay.
• Hot Deal: Non-refundable Rates. Require full pre-payment with no changes or refunds permitted.
• Special Events: Requires full pre-payment with no changes or refunds permitted. A minimum 2-night stay is required unless otherwise stated.
