Property Information
Tolpuddle Farm offers guests an authentic farm stay experience on 120 acres of land in the heart of Victoria's High Country. Guests have the Milawa Gourmet Region, King Valley, Alpine Valley and Rutherglen Wine Regions, Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, historic towns and Alpine peaks at their doorstep.
The historic 'Rusholme' farmhouse circa 1856 has been tastefully restored, combining the rustic charm of its era with modern comforts for a relaxing getaway. The farmhouse is fully self-contained, with separate living, dining, kitchen and bathroom facilities. Guests have the flexibility to book 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, or 3. Whether you book your stay as a couple, a family, or a group, the farmhouse is exclusively yours to enjoy!
Tolpuddle Farm is home to Tolpuddle Goat Cheese & Farm Foods, a goat micro-dairy and cheese factory established by 'tree changers' Melissa and Donovan in 2013. Tolpuddle produces a range of specialty goat cheeses using only the milk from their small herd of Saanen dairy goats. The farm gate is open to visitors from Spring through until the end of Autumn each year. Tolpuddle sells cheese and local produce from their Cellar Door and serves cheese platters with locally made craft beer, cider and wine in the farmhouse garden.
Visitors to the farm can take a tour of the farm, meet the girls and during Springtime cuddle a baby goat. Guests staying in the farmhouse can enjoy all that and more - collecting eggs from the chicken coop, fresh produce from the vegetable garden, and observing the daily milking ritual. Whether you want to jump in boots and all to daily farm life, or simply relax on the big shady verandah taking in the view to Mt Buffalo and glorious sunset, it is up to you.
Melissa and Donovan have a real passion for sharing what they do - from pasture to plate. You are guaranteed a warm welcome at Tolpuddle Farm.

Terms & Conditions
Tolpuddle Farm is a working goat farm, dairy and cheese factory. There are inherent risks on any farm that guests need to understand. We have dams and water troughs in paddocks, barbed wire on fences, farm animals (goats, alpaca, chickens and working dogs), and farming equipment and vehicles moving around the farm. Children must remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult for the duration of their stay. Tolpuddle farm guests can interact with all of our animals over fence lines surrounding the farmhouse acreage. Some paddocks and areas are only accessible when accompanied by Tolpuddle owners and staff for guided tours. All guests must observe signage for the safety and welfare of themselves and our farm animals. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
The farm gate is open to visitors from 11am - 4pm, Thursday – Saturday (September until June). Farmstay guests have private access to the farmhouse and front garden during these hours. However, farm visitors have access to the driveway for parking and the Cellar Door and rear garden for cheese tastings, grazing platters and drinks. Guests may choose to book a picnic table to sit down and enjoy a grazing platter and drinks in the rear garden. Alternatively, we have suggested Day Trip itineraries to explore the region during farm gate opening hours.
