Located right on the water's edge, Waitahanui Lodge has 5 retro,1950's style cottages in kiwiana style, just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Taupo.
All cottages are ground floor and improvements provide modern facilities where it counts,
The cottages all have full kitchen facilities, all linen and towels supplied, TV and free WiFi.
The Lodge boasts the closest barbecue setting to the lake in Taupo where you can sit and take in the scenery or enjoy a meal with friends.
The original on-site tackle shop still exists and is open for fishing tackle, licenses and hire of rods and waders.

Peak rates apply to all statutory holidays, school holidays and from 1 September to 31 May.
Both lakefront cottages require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 4 night minimum stay at Easter.
During NZ's three day holiday weekends, a 3 night minimum stay applies to all cottages.
Prices quoted are correct at the time of inquiry and may be subject to change,.
Payment Policy
Payment on arrival by credit card, eftpos or cash.
Cancellation Policy
All bookings are accepted in good faith. We require credit card details or a deposit to guarantee your booking. Our rates are inclusive of GST.
Cancellations require 7 days notice in off-peak times, Our cancellation fee is equal to 1 night's tariff in off-peak times charged to the credit card or non-return of the deposit.
30 days notice is required in peak times. Full payment of the booking may be required if insufficient notice is given and we are unable to re-rent the room.
Group bookings require 60 days notice. Full payment of the booking may be required if insufficient notice is given.
