Wakatu Hotel
Welcome to the Wakatu Hotel – a true colonial pub in the heart of Nelson. The Wakatu Hotel is a great base from which to explore the Nelson region. Our clean, tidy rooms are value for money and we pride ourselves on making our guests feel welcome.
If you enjoy the outdoors, Nelson is a great place to visit being home to three of New Zealand’s most spectacular national parks. Adventure activities that can be enjoyed by all the family include mountain biking, fishing, diving, sailing, hiking and swimming.
Currently due to level 2 Covid-19, the Hotel will only be open from Midday till 8pm, Mon to Fri. Late arrivals cannot be taken at this time unless approved prior by Management.

Payment must be made prior to or on arrival.
No Smoking inside: You will be liable for a fire department callout fee of $1300 + gst if you set off alarms.
No Alcohol : No alcohol is to be consumed on the balcony. Failure to adhere to this will result in eviction from the Hotel with no refund.
We have a ZERO tolerance for Drugs on the Premises. If you are found to have drugs it will result in an immediate eviction and the information handed to the Authorities.
A Refundable Key Deposit of $25 will be charged per booking which will be refunded back to the Credit or Debit card supplied on day of check out.
The Wakatu Hotel has the right to charge for all damages incurred by the customer to the room.

Payment Policy
Full payment is to be made on arrival unless prepaid or organised with Management.
This includes a refundable $25 key deposit.

Cancellation fee of 1 nights accommodation if cancelling in less that 48 hours
