Alexandria Bed and Breakfast - Wynyard
Alexandria is a gracious Federation style home built from 1905 on the banks of the Inglis River 1.5 km from the Town Centre of Wynyard and Burnie Airport, in North West Tasmania. Whether you're looking for an adventure, a rest or working, Alexandria is the place for you offering a quiet location to relax and enjoy the surrounding cottage gardens or use us a base for a few days to venture the local attractions of the North West Coast of Tasmania. There are 4 suites available for guests all with a private ensuite. Two are situated in the main house and two are situated in the garden cottage. All room tariffs include continental breakfast.

The Chestnut Suite, named after the graceful chestnut tree in the back garden, is the second suite in the garden cottage. It is spacious with a queen and single bed for an extra guest or child and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied. A foldaway bed can be set up for a fourth person, perfect for travelling families. A private reading area is also available for use outside your door.

Oak Standard Réserver
The Oak Suite, named after the magnificent shady French oak tree in the back garden, is the main suite in the garden cottages and the first choice for a honeymoon suite. It is spacious with a queen bed and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied. A seating area is located in the bay window providing a place to relax and admire the view of the river and gardens.

Tulip Standard

The Tulip room, named after the beautiful flowers that are on show in our area and garden during Spring, is the largest room available. With its own private access and outside deck positioned under the shade of the magnificent English Oak, guests can enjoy their own space and garden. Styled to reflect the federation era of the main house, with a modern twist, the Tulip room offers every convenience needed for short or long stays, including a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and extra crockery. Continental breakfast is included.

Alexandria is entirely a non-smoking property.
Check-in is from 2 - 8 pm. Please contact us if you expect to arrive after 8 pm.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made within 48 hrs of booking arrival date incur a 100% cancellation fee. All other cancellations incur a $30 per night fee.
*** Due to covid-19 and border closures, we currently do not charge cancellation for bookings made directly with us. If you need to cancel, please email or ring us on 03 6442 4411. Thank you.
