Cleburne Homestead
Cleburne Homestead is an art hotel offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Heritage-listed colonial farm buildings. We are close to MONA ( the exciting Museum of Old and New Art) and just 15 mins drive from Hobart's Constitution Dock and Salamanca Place or historic Richmond Town.
Our five suites, the Cottage, the Bakehouse, the Homestead, the Barn and the Stables are eclectically furnished. Bold, modern art and luxurious bedding contrast with raw 1820's stone and timber. Hearty continental breakfasts in front of the open fire in the grand dining room is included.
Cleburne is the quintessential Tasmanian experience - authentic heritage buildings, beautiful landscape, fine art and fresh local produce. A rural escape (with alpacas and peacocks) that is convenient to all of Hobart’s attractions.

Cleburne Homestead is a heritage property consisting of 1830's farm buildings set on 4 acres across the East Derwent Highway from the River Derwent, beside the Bowen Bridge. There is therefore some traffic noise. We have four alpacas, two sheep and some peacocks on the property and so we ask you to shut the entry gate at all times. Please note that door heights in the original Homestead Suite are quite low.
Payment Policy
30% of the total booking is deducted within a few days of booking. The balance of the booking fee is to be paid on arrival.
Cancellation Policy
The guest will forfeit their deposit if they cancel the booking within 7 days of their arrival date.
