Property Information
For a rural retreat in Kaikoura try Dylans rustic cottage accommodation. Our Holiday cottages are surrounded by lavender and flower gardens and we have an on-site gift shop that stocks our own lavender oil and other quality lavender products. Dylans Country Cottages consists of two unique lodge / chalet style cottages "Mahoe" and "Kowhai". The cottages are situated in a rural setting beneath the spectacular Seaward Kaikoura mountain range. Dylan's cottage accommodation is only five minutes from central Kaikoura, 2.5 hours drive from Christchurch and 2 hours drive from the Picton ferries. Both cottages have an upstairs mezzanine bedroom containing beds handcrafted from Macrocarpa grown on the lavender farm. The French doors in the lounge open direct onto the garden to give the indoor outdoor flow NZ is famed for. We provide a continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and eggs from our chickens. The kitchenettes allow simple meals to be prepared.

Terms & Conditions
1. Under the NZ Covid 19 Traffic Light System, Dylans will only be accepting guests with a Covid 19 MY Vaccination Pass which we will verify or overseas visitors carrying the equivalent.
2. Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or late check-out is by arrangement only.
3. Any damage to the room or property may be charged.
4. Smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms or balconies. If you do smoke, then you may be charged appropriate cleaning. Smoking is permitted outside only.
5. Guests are expected to leave the cottages as they find them thus a charge of $20 will be made for unwashed dishes.

Payment Policy
Please take the booking confirmation email sent when you book as formal notice that your booking has been accepted.
Payment for 50% of your stay will be taken 30 days prior to checkin. Payment in full is due 14 days prior to check-in at which point we take payment for the remainder of the booking.
Children under the age of 6 months stay free, all other children must be paid for. We will charge on arrival for any children not declared in the original booking.
There is a $20 charge per stay for pets.
Cancellation Policy
Late cancellations have a significant impact on our small business, so we have a strict cancellation policy.
Within 14 days non-refundable.
30-15 days prior 50% refundable.
Over 30 days fully refundable.
As Coronavirus is now well-understood, we no longer treat it exceptionally. However, if you can't stay with us due to Coronavirus, you may reschedule your stay at no additional cost. We may require formal proof of this.
Cottages may be booked on a provisional basis while travel plans are being confirmed however this is not possible in the 7 days immediately prior. Please contact us prior to booking to arrange this.
