Giants' Table and Cottages
Welcome to the Giants Table and Cottages, Maydena, in the beautiful Derwent Valley region.
We are situated on the edge of the South West World Heritage Area, ten minutes drive from Mount Field National Park with its wonderful Russell Falls and close to the entrance to the Styx Valley of the Giants, (hence our name), yet still only just over an hour from Hobart.
There is so much to see and do in this area that you will find that one night will not be enough to enjoy it.
We are at the ideal point for your stopover between Strahan and Hobart.
Experience the lush temperate rainforest, spectacular mountains, the tallest trees in the world, untouched wilderness and an array of fantastic wildlife right on our doorstep.
In comfortable self-contained cottage accommodation you can soak up the silence, the freshest air anywhere and explore amazing countryside; a combination that together will help renew your spirit.

1. A valid proof of identity must be presented on checking in (Driver’s Licence, Passport).
2. Check-in is from 2:00pm until 6:00pm, check-out is before 10:00am, early arrivals and late departures negotiable.
3. Damage, breakages, theft, and losses are the guest’s responsibility during their stay and as such will be charged for any damage caused.
4. Management is not responsible for personal belongings and valuables left in the room.
5. Guests acknowledge that they are personally liable for the payment of all charges incurred by them during their stay at Giants’ Table and Cottages.
6. Strictly no smoking in any of the cottages, please smoke only in the designated smoking areas.
7 . Due to potential Water danger on the property - children must be supervised at all times.
8. No petting or feeding our animals on the property.
9. Extra guests not on the original booking will be charged for, this will be based on the number of beds used in the cottage.
10. Only the stated maximum no of people (incl children and infants) can stay in cottages.

Payment is on arrival by cash, Visa or Mastercard - 1.5% surcharge applies.

direct payment to our Bank Account

A valid Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa ) is required at the time of booking however the full payment isn't required until the day of check-in.
Cancellation Policy
The following cancellation fees will apply to the full booking:-
- More than 30 days prior to arrival - 0% cancellation fee.
- Less than 30, but 7 or more days prior to arrival - 50% cancellation fee.
- Less than 7 days prior to arrival - 100% cancellation fee.
No cancellation fee will apply should a booking be cancelled due to any COVID related incident.
