Mt Lyell Anchorage, Queenstown’s finest B&B and self-contained accommodation is the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the countryside on your way to Tasmania’s Western Wilderness. Luxurious comfort and style with a homely feel. Gorgeous bespoke bathrooms, comfortable beds, a stylish mix of period and new furniture, quality inclusions and a friendly host, always available to assist in making your time in Queenstown pleasant and memorable.
Situated in the centre of the township, you will be close to cafes, hotels, supermarkets, Paragon Theatre/RoamWild Tasmania, West Coast Wilderness Railway, Galley Museum and all town facilities.
The “Anchorage” main house is over 115 years old and has been fully renovated to compliment the original features. With magnificent pressed tin ceilings, lovely timber panelling and fireplaces it has 4 individual rooms with private bathrooms, as well as a full kitchen and lounge/dining room with a cosy wood pellet fire to relax and mingle with other guests. New plush carpet, paint and plantation shutters throughout in August 2014 has given the house a lovely warm, homely feel. Sleeps up to 9. Sorry, no children under 14 in main house.
We also cater for those who prefer self-contained accommodation. Built in the early 1960’s to house mine workers these 2 cottages are perfect for small families or groups.
“Waratah Cottage” is right next door to “Anchorage” and has been completely renovated in Dec 2013. It has 2 bedrooms, bathroom with walk-in shower and kitchenette/lounge room. One Queen Bed and 2 King Single beds. Sleeps up to 4, children welcome.
“Tea Tree Bungalow has 2 bedrooms, bathroom and full kitchen facilities in the large dining/lounge/kitchen room. Renovated in 2015 sleeps up to 4 guests. Children welcome.

Payment Policy
Mastercard, Visa, Cash or Direct Deposit accepted.
Cancellation Policy
Full payment will be taken upon booking. Any booking cancelled within 48 hours of check-in time will incur a fee equal to the first nights accommodation cost plus 50% of the second night.
All bookings cancelled more than 48 hours before check-in time will incur a $50 administration fee.
PLEASE NOTE; This policy applies to direct bookings. Policy may vary if booked through other channels in which case, the policy on that channel will apply.
Check-in time is 2pm-6pm on the day of reservation. Check-out time is 10am on day of departure.
