Just a short drive from Auckland, set against the beautiful backdrop of Snells Beach, resort-style Salty Dog Inn is a coastal hideaway of rare quality. Established in 1994 in the beautiful region of the Matakana coast, itâs spread over 2 acres of lush green grounds with spectacular mountain views, overlooking the stunning view of Mahurangi river. For out-of-town accommodation that has something to appeal to absolutely everyone, itâs a near-perfect option. We are only 50 minutes' drive from CBD Auckland and just 5 minutes from Warkworth.
Known for it's Olde English character, the Salty Dog Inn is the perfect place for all occasions. Locals love us for our Guinness Sports Bar, which hosts a variety of fun event night such as live bands and karaoke etc, Our Olde English restaurant, serving up flavoursome creations. It also has a Gaming lounge, conference/wedding/function venues and a beautiful outdoor setting, making it a one-stop-venue catering to all your needs.
The Salty Dog Inn has 12 well-appointed self-contained studio units and 2 Two Bedroom apartment suites.
Studio units on the first floor have private balconies overlooking beautiful surroundings including Mahurangi river and mountains. Studio units on ground floor have access to lush green lawns and a beautiful outdoor setting. Each room is equipped with free Wi-Fi connectivity, a 32" flat-screen smart TV with Sky Channels, en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, heater, electric blanket, a kitchenette with mini fridge and tea facilities, microwave.
In addition to the above facilities, 2 Two Bedroom apartment suites have separate rooms, a lounge and kitchen area. They have their own private balconies and outdoor seating.
All beds can be split into King singles upon request.

Our 'Guinness sports bar and gaming lounge' is open daily for lunch and dinner from 12 pm onward. Dinner is served till 8 pm, but finger food is available at the bar until the bar closes. We have Daily Specials during lunch and dinner. Please enquire with our staff. Happy Hour is from 4 pm to 6.30 pm. We organise Karaoke and Live Band in our Guinness Sports bar.
We have Two private function venues where we can organise your events/functions/conferences, weddings or any special occasion.

âĒ Bookings can be cancelled up until 24 hours prior to arrival without charge. However, any cancellations after 14:00 the day prior to your arrival will incur a cancellation charge equivalent to 100% of the reservation.
âĒ All cancellations must be emailed through to:

âĒ If you have booked through a third-party website such as Booking.com, Expedia, or Agoda you will need to cancel with them directly.
GROUP BOOKINGS:

âĒ A 20% deposit is due upon acceptance of the quote
âĒ The deposit is refundable up to 6 months prior to the groupsâ arrival
âĒ Final payment is due, in full, 1 month prior to the groupâs arrival at the hotel
âĒ Numbers of rooms confirm 3 months out and must be reconfirmed a minimum of 1 week prior to arrival, by returning a completed rooming list to the hotel. The rooming list will be supplied by Salty Dog Inn
âĒ All reservation requests are tentative until we have received your deposit
âĒ If the deposit is not received by the due date, Salty Dog Inn reserves the right to cancel your booking.
Cancellations & Amendments:
âĒ Cancellations made within 1 month of arrival will result in the client being charged for the full stay @ 5%
âĒ Client no shows will be charged in full
âĒ Changes of up to a 10% decrease in numbers of the original size can be made without penalty providing Salty Dog Inn is notified a minimum of 1 week prior to arrival. Any request to increase group size will be accommodated subject to availability and the group will be charged accordingly
