Mapua
The Apple Pickers’ Cottages are situated on the shore of the Waimea Inlet, set in an idyllic rural landscape of orchards and vineyards with superb estuary and mountain views.
Our place is in the centre of the Nelson/Tasman region, so it's a perfect base for exploring. There are so many options for day trips: for hiking there is a choice of three National Parks (Kahurangi, Nelson Lakes and Abel Tasman), for swimming there are beautiful golden sand beaches and rivers, for cycling there is a huge variety of trails, and for gourmands there is endless foraging for wine, artisan food and craft beer.
Mapua village is just 5 minutes drive away, and the lively Mapua Wharf has cafés, restaurants and galleries.
Please note that from November 20th 2021 we will only be accepting bookings for guests who have been fully vaccinated against Covid 19.

Karaka Cottage
Karaka Cottage Reserve
Karaka is a 2-bedroom bungalow for up to 4 people. It has two decks and a verandah with spectacular views of mountains and estuary. The private garden, outdoor bath, hammocks, weber barbecue, brazier and outdoor furniture set in a beautiful natural landscape make this a very special place. There are plenty of places to sit outside and catch the sunshine whatever the time of day.
Fast fibre internet.
The nightly rate is for 2 guests in the cottage. Additional guests $25 person per night.

Miro Cottage
Miro Cottage Reserve
Miro is a 1 bedroom self-contained cottage for up to 2 people. The cottage is sunny and warm and has wonderful views across the estuary to the mountains.
The bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
The open-plan living area has a woodburner and the the kitchen is well-equipped with a cook top, oven, fridge and toaster, plus there is a barbecue outside. There is a choice of places to sit and relax around the cottage: the waterfront garden, deck, or courtyard.
Fibre internet.

Rata Cottage Standard
Rata Cottage Standard Reserve
Rata cottage accommodates 2 people. It has a well designed studio style interior which opens on to a big covered deck.
Rata also has a garden with hammock, outdoor furniture and a weber barbecue.
The bedroom has a king size bed.

Payment Policy
We charge a deposit of one night's accommodation at the time of booking. The balance can be paid on arrival.
Cancellation Policy
The deposit will be fully refunded if cancellation is made 14 days or more prior to the date of arrival.
Cancellation less than 14 days but more than 7 days prior to the date of arrival will result in loss of the deposit.
Cancellation 7 days or less prior to the date of arrival will result in the full amount being charged, if the cottage is not re-let.
*Cancellation fees will be waived if the cancellation is due to a Covid 19 lockdown in New Zealand.
