The Criterion Hotel located in a suburb called Carrington on the outskirts of the inner city of Newcastle, which was once a small island is now Harbourside to the stunning city of Newcastle and the Honeysuckle Precinct. The hotel offers 9 rooms upstairs which consist of 2 twin single rooms and 7 queen rooms. In recent times the pub has undertaken some renovations to rejuvenate with pub style accomodation, comfortable rooms and beds and shared bathroom facilities.
The Criterion Hotel is part of the historical village of Carrington which new owners Chris & Zach are working towards turning it back in to the social hub of the community it once was.
Whether you want to quench your thirst or satisfy your appetite, The Criterion Hotel offers a variety of boutique beers on tap as well as some traditional beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and beverages. The staff at The Cri are friendly and with an inviting atmosphere, you are guaranteed to have a fun night.
Weekly activities at The Cri consist of Tuesday Steak night, Wednesday Schnitzel night & Thursday night Trivia (everyone welcome), live music Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
Our Chef and kitchen staff are here serving food from Tuesday -Sunday Lunch & Dinner with some counter lunches during week days only. The Chef aims to provide wholesome dishes that leave you satisfied, if you wish to make a booking in our recently renovated beer garden give us a call on 0249615597.

Thank you for your booking at The Criterion Hotel, Carrington.
In order to make your stay with us more comfortable, we would like to provide you with the following information:
• Check IN – from 1pm until 10pm at the Main Bar. If you are arriving later please contact Hotel to make suitable arrangments. Photo ID will be required upon check in and payment in full required if not already paid via website.
• Check OUT time is 10:00am - if you require a late checkout please speak to staff, however any check out required after 10am may incur an additional charge.
• Smoking – The Criterion Hotel has a strictly non-smoking policy. A $150 cleaning fee will apply if any guest is smoking in a room.
• Noise Policy - We ask you to please respect our other guests residing in the hotel by limiting noise after 10:00pm. Please note that this is a pub and that we close at midnight and that all noise emitted from the venue will cease at midnight at the latest.
• Cancellation: 24hours notice prior to arrival date for cancellations or 100% of tariff fee will be charged.
