The Log Cottage
The Log Cottage is a perfect getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, while still being close to many amenities. We are ideally situated for your first or last stop when arriving into or leaving Christchurch. We are also close to many local wedding venues if you are looking for somewhere to stay whilst celebrating your special day.
We purchased this property as bare land in 2013. Since then we have worked tirelessly to get the property to where it is today. We began by building our Stable block, arena and paddocks. We then focussed on the Cottage before finishing our building projects with our home which was completed in 2015.
We are passionate about flora and fauna and have focussed on planting up our property with native plants in order to attract native birds. We are also keen to create a tranquil stop over for our visitors.
Our property also houses our daughter's equine business, so for horse lovers there are lots of horses to look out on.

Our Sleepout is a 6m x 4m studio. It is fully insulated and also has a heat pump. It consists of a Double bed, Fridge, Microwave and Tea and Coffee facilities. It has its own private Toilet and Shower in a building next door to it. The two buildings are connected by a private covered walkway. The Sleepout also as Free unlimited, high speed wi-fi.
